Yesterday Ven. Jundo Cohen contacted me regarding the move of his blog from Beliefnet to Shambhala Sun. Seems people haven’t been able to update their RSS feeds, or haven’t gotten around to it yet. So here is the information you need to continue with the great information from “Sit-a-Long with Jundo & Taigu” Zazen video netcast
Here is the URL for the blog itself …
So update your readers and sit along with Jundo and Taigu
And I’ve also heard from Ven. Kobutsu Malone regarding an important project of the Engaged Zen Foundation.
Some years ago they produced a book called The EZF book; Prison Chaplaincy Guidelines for Zen Buddhism. It is a valuable resource to all who would be or are undertaking any sort of prison chaplaincy or who are interesting in establishing prison Dharma programs.
The book has been out of print for over a year now and there have been many requests for it. I have even gotten a couple of people asking if I knew where to get one.
So the EZF would like to reprint this book but lacks sufficient funds to do so. If you are one of the people who has asked for a copy or if your group is considering prison Dharma programs please consider giving something to the republishing. If you would like a book perhaps you can ask Ven. Kobutsu to put you on a list and when it becomes available you can get one.
Here is the link with more information and a PayPal button to make your donation to this fund.
I know we’ve all nearly emptied our wallets with the ongoing difficulties in Haiti, Mongolia and in South Dakota but if you can squeeze a few more $$ out it would be appreciated.
